As I put the pen to paper
Not sure what to say
Different ideas in my head
On different days
Now I've got to let them out
But I'm not sure how

Guess I'll just
Put the pen to paper
Let the words find their flow
I'll write verse after verse
All in a row
And I won't be sure how
But I'll know I've written
Another song now

It seems so strange to me
My mind just goes blank
I see scribbled letters
With a message underneath
Barely peaking out
But trying to shout

Guess I'll just
Put the pen to paper
Let the words find their flow
I'll write verse after verse
All in a row
And I won't be sure how
But I'll know I've written
Another song now

I won't be sure
What it's about
Maybe a girlfriend
Maybe a cloud
Maybe it's a rap song
"Yeah what Mothafucka!"
Maybe country
"Yee-haw!"
It might be the next hit
Or the latest flop
It may take me from below
And rise me to the top

Guess I'll just
Put the pen to paper
Let the words find their flow
I'll write verse after verse
All in a row
And I won't be sure how
But I'll know I've written
Another song now

Yeah now somehow it happens
And I don't know why
But I get a great feeling
On the inside
So I'll keep on writing
And letting it out
Not quite yet sure
What I'm talking about

---

Yeah, so just a song I felt like writing. It's about writing a song. It's on the space. Check it out. Let me know what you think. Maybe one day I'll actually get these put to music.

Maybe I care just a little bit less
Lately it doesn't seem my life's such a mess
Maybe I've got it all figured out
I seem to know what this life's about

So I'm gonna sit here for awhile
Try to live my life in style
Add time to the good life file
And I might go far
Or not even last a mile
But I'm taking it easy for awhile

---

Yeah. So that's what I have so far. I'll work on it more. Possibly try and finish it sometime this week.

And nobody sees this post so I don't know why I'm typing here. haha

So yeah...I don't feel like updating this anymore so I won't be putting my thoughts in here...not that I have in forever...and not like anyone actually reads this....

but yeah...now it shall only be the songs I've written. Read them and enjoy them. And then go to my myspace and leave a comment about them.

EDIT: I have about half of a new song written...should be pretty good. It's about relaxing and just taking life slow for awhile.

Also, I'm running out of ideas for things to write about so give me a topic and I'll see what I can do. No guarantees that it's any good or that I finish it, but I'll try.

t's gonna be hard to find the flow
Ya gotta let all your insecurities go
You can drive down the same worn road
As long as you find new hope
And I'm not talking about dope
I mean the hope that inspires things
Ya know, cease fires, world peace, and wedding rings

It's time to take a step back
Get things back on track
And find a new place
Where the good life's at

I know in another year
I'll find myself back here
Writing lyrics about avoiding fear
Or maybe finding a new career
One that inspires things
Good karma and liberty, not designer jeans

It's time to take a step back
Get things back on track
And find a new place
Where the good life's at

Sick of singing about war
Abortion and murder
Sick of writing a love song
And having it all sound wrong
It's time to head in a new direction
One not so depressin'
One that inspires things
But I'll leave you guessin'

It's time to take a step back
Get things back on track
And find a new place
Where the good life's at

This is the me that you'll see
The one you want to be
The one that changes things
Like our focus from war to peace
From murder movies to Grease
I'm showing you me for real this time
Though this is just another song of mine

It's time to take a step back
Get things back on track
And find a new place
Where the good life's at

It's time to take a step back
Get things back on track
And find a new place
Where the good life's at

Let's get to where the good life's at

Today kids...we're going to talk about anti-conformity, and just how much of a load of bullshit it really is. Don't get me wrong. Not everything they do is stupid and pointless. There's also a difference between people that believe in a cause, and anti-conformists. There's a difference between hippies and anti-conformists. Both are okay. Anti-conformists? No.

Let me begin by stating that yes, I'm being a bit hypocritical by typing this entry. I mean, I'm bitching about people bitching. Yes, that's hypocritical. But I have a reason.

So, anti-conformist? Can anyone tell me what they actually stand for?

That's right! Nothing! They are solely there to argue with most of society. While some of what they do is perfectly reasonable and just...and progressive...most of it just makes a "socialite" as these people call the rest of "us" shake their head in a negative "What the hell are they doing now!?" manner. I find these people to be the most hypocritical sons of bitches, and bitches, that exist in society.

Nine times out of ten, they abhor something for the sole reason that someone else likes it. How does that make you happy? Who wakes up in the morning with the thought, "How am I going to be happy today? I know! I'll find something my friends like and completely put them down for it!"

I don't get it.

These are the people that put you down for listening to music that YOU like because...it's mainstream. Are you kidding me!? I don't care who the artist is, or whether or not it's mainstream. If I like it, I'll listen to it.

They are also the first to judge despite them constantly criticizing you for your judgment issues. "Why the hell would you judge people? Fag." And...hypocrite.

They complain and complain about how they are losing friends, without being smart enough to open their eyes to the fact that they are total jackasses to the people that they at one point said they cared about...but after all, they may have just been stuck with the wrong group.

How the hell do you get stuck with the wrong group? You choose who you spend your time with, so you getting stuck with the "wrong group" is nobody's fault but your own.

Anti-conformists are the people that you see annoying cops...because they can.
"Fuck authority!"
"Why?"
"Because we can!"

It makes no sense. I understand that people don't need to put up with half the shit that they put up with. They also don't need to put up with half the shit that's forced on them by these anti-conformists. Just because society said something, it sucks.

The worst part is, as these people are yelling at you not to judge them as you walk by, they are judging you. As you walk by with your cappuccino from Starbucks that you bought because, oh my god, it tastes good, in your Guess jeans that you bought because you liked the style, to them you are a good for nothing rich bitch socialite that's every breath is a robbery of their precious air. It never crosses their mind that maybe you want to shop at Abercrombie & Fitch, and maybe you wanted to buy Gucci shades because you like their style...and this is all because they can get the same satisfaction out of something else.

Now, don't get me wrong. I don't disagree with everything they stand or don't stand for. They make some pretty good points. It annoys me to no end the fact that while you stay out of their way and let them do their thing, they put you down for doing what makes you happy.

IT DOES NOT AFFECT THEM AT ALL. Yet they feel the need to put you down.

My thing is, don't interfere with me. I'll stay out of your way. If I don't say anything to you about how your hippie shirt sucks or how stupid I think your way of creating happiness by putting someone else down is, you better keep your anti-conformist, piece of shit mouth shut while I go about my own life, doing what makes me happy, while staying out of yours.

So yeah...I'm guessing you want a story. If not, I'm sorry...but not really. Anyway, so I was on the high school baseball team and then a traveling Senior American Legion team which I will play on again next year most likely. On both of these teams I was a pitcher that never quite got a fair chance.

On the high school team another pitcher and I alternated starting every other game during Fall Ball. Both of us did excellent and led our team to the championship which I pitched a complete game and got the win in. However, during the regular season the first baseman from Fall took my spot in the rotation and I became a reliever. Reliever turned to closer and closer turned to just a term my coaches used to make it seem like they didn't screw me over.

On the legion team I was a reliever and spot starter. I'll admit I didn't have the greatest season until the last three games I pitched in. In those three games I threw 5 1/3 innings, walking none, allowing two base runners and striking out eight. Unfortunately a suicide squeeze with one out in the bottom of the ninth of a tied game ended our season Wednesday night.

So yesterday at work, one of my co-workers asked me how the game went and I told him the story. He said it sucks to lose like that, which obviously he's right. He proceeds to tell me he was at those games and even at the game I pitched in Stockton and is a scout for the Braves.

He then asked me if I would pitch a couple games in Laytonville and asked if I could play anywhere else other than pitcher, which made me extremely excited because to be honest, I've started to become bored with only pitching.

This team that I'll pitch a couple games for and play a couple more for is apparently a "scouted team" meaning that the players on it are being scouted or are scouts themselves so yeah, I'm pretty stoked.

Short version: A scout for the Braves told me he wants me to play for his team that gets scouted at every game.

So it's been a little while since the last regular update. Probably a little over a week now. Well, last week the only significant thing that happened really was we beat Cardinal Newman 4-0.
Our actual season was supposed to start against Vallejo yesterday but now it may be played tomorrow or it won't be played at all.

Friday night a bunch of us hung out at Ricky's after chilling at G&G park for awhile. Then Saturday people came over to my house and we chilled. Sunday Paul and I worked obviously since that's what we do every Sunday and then later we went with Nick and Ti and I filmed some for his and Nick's parkour video that me and Ricky are going to begin editing in video tomorrow probably after I finish my news story that was supposed to be done yesterday.

So we threw bullpens yesterday in Rohnert Park for baseball, and I worked on developing a new pitch so I have something to show on 0-2 or something now.

It was sunny for most of today, and still is but looking outside there are huge clouds that don't look promising for nice weather.

In baseball, we play Vallejo tomorrow in Vallejo and Pinole on Saturday at home. Then it's into the regular season with games next Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday.

We have a blitz day Sunday to sell those stupid cards we sell every year. I hate that but whatever. I guess Paul and I won't be able to go up to Santa Rosa until later in the day.

That's about all I've got. If I think of anything else, I'll let you guys know.

Congratulations to Ilan on being accepted to CalPoly. Peace out, guys.

Well it's been a little while. Not an extremely long update here haha. Just a little something for the road.

So this Saturday we had our first game, although it's not our first official game. That is next Tuesday against Vallejo. We played Ukiah and either tied 9-9 or lost 10-9. I pitched 1 1/3 innings, walking a guy but that's it. No hits, no runs, all that good stuff.

We play Cardinal Newman today at 3:30 if you don't have anything better to do. Your last chance to see Casa "Spring Training" baseball...unless you want to see us scrimmage JV on Saturday.

While on the subject of baseball, tonight at Beyond The Glory there's a fundraiser going on. You need a flier but I have an extra one which I don't think will get used so if you want it, let me know.

This weekend wasn't too eventful. Friday night we ended up hanging out at the bowling alley playing pool like we do every once in awhile. Then Saturday Alyssa yes, did beat me at some random push contest? lol twice in a row...but I've beaten her everytime since so I win haha.

Sunday a bunch of us went to Paige's and I showed Janna that I'm an excellent ballerina...but not haha. Good times, good times.

That's about it for now. In baseball the team should be set. As a group we're about to stop spending so much money which will be nice.

And that's about it. Talk to you guys later.

EDIT: I just got the mail and I didn't get accepted to San Diego State. Oh well haha. 1st Financial Bank also wants me to get a credit card with them. Yeah right. Okay, seriously this time. Peace out people. Come to the game to watch Newman lose.
